Locker Rooms and Court Entrance

We now enter the access area to the Valencia Basket locker rooms. Here you will see that both locker rooms, men’s and women’s, are completely symmetrical and identical. Each team has its own independent corridor and hydrotherapy room, while the shared facilities are located between them: the staff offices and, of course, the video room.

Halfway down the corridor, we find the video room. Designed with every possible comfort, this space is almost like a small cinema, but it has not always been this way. Thirty-five years ago, the coaching staff had to travel with the tapes and the video player itself in order to watch footage. Technology was much less advanced, and when travelling around Europe, you never knew what kind of connection device you would find. For that reason, the equipment managers always carried several adapters just in case.

Once we leave the locker room corridor, we reach the area where the players share their final embraces before stepping onto the court for the game. This is where they prepare their rituals, and each of them has their own. If you come to a game, pay close attention when they walk out onto the court, because every player has a different habit.

Finally, on both sides, behind glass walls, are the so-called bunkers: VIP areas where guests can watch the players walk out onto the court while enjoying the pre-game catering.
